The blade is stamped from a sheet of X50CrMoV15, a type of first-class stainless-steel blend often used in a lot of European knives.

After a series of automated steps, honing the knives to get a good edge and then buffing it to become smooth and shiny are done manually.

This is practically the same as the other three-piece set described earlier.

The blades were stamped from X50CrMoV15 stainless steel and then hand-sharpened and finished.

They don’t have full tangs. They don’t have bolsters.

The handles, also made from the remarkable Fibrox material, have protective grooves near the heel which act as the finger guard.

The most obvious difference between the Swiss Classic and the Fibrox lines is the shape of the handle.

The former feels narrower, the butt flatter, but it has more curves in it. The addition of the concave shape is for a tighter but easier grip.

The latter is thicker and less curvy but was given that rounded butt.

The good thing is that the Swiss Classic collection the essentials.

The Chef’s knife is the multi-tasker. The slimmer more flexible carving blade is for closer incisions.

The shorter, thinner paring knife is for more precise slicing and dicing.

Again, this may be the bare minimum but it can do a lot for you in the kitchen.

The handle is made from Fibrox too, just made extra colorful.

The question is: do you really need four of these?

Admittedly, this set is for those who already have at least a Chef’s knife or a Santoku in their kitchen block.
